Indonesia vs Turkey
This time, I’m going to explain about comparison of education in Indonesia and Turkey. First of all, lemme tell you what education is. Generally, education is a conscious and planned effort to realize the learning atmosphere and the learning process for students to actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by themselves and society. Education is a strategic means to improve the quality of a nation, so the progress of a nation can be measured by the progress of its education. Each country has a different way of managing the education system. Here are the differences of education system in Indonesia vs Turkey.
- In Turkey, the maximum number of students in one class is 21 people no more, Turkey considers that with a small number of students, teaching and learning activities will succeed. Whereas in Indonesia, the maximum number of students in one class is 30 students, but there are still schools that exceed the maximum number of students in one class, even twice of the maximum number.
- Primary school in Turkey is 4 years, junior high school is 4 years and senior high school is 4 years. There is no National Examination for graduation in Turkey. Education in Indonesia for Primary Schools is taken within 6 years, 3 years for junior high school and 3 years for senior high school.
- In Turkey, undergraduate students have no thesis to complete their education, only the final semester examination. Different from Indonesia, in Indonesia undergraduate students must complete their thesis to get a degree.
- The Turkish government is very concerned about every student who is studying. The Turkish government frees tuition and school fees for the Turkish people. Whereas in Indonesia, tuition fees are borne by students themselves, but there are some whose tuition fees are waived.
- Turkey is very concerned about the welfare of teachers in their country. In Turkey, teacher salaries are equivalent to the doctor's salary. Whereas in Indonesia teacher salaries are not much. In fact, many honorary teachers in the region only get very minimal wages. In one month, on average they only get a salary of IDR 150-500 thousand.
That’s all comparison of education in Turkey and Indonesia. Hopefully it can increase your knowledge. Thank you for reading and don’t forget to read my another blog💜
